Bobble Bottle Review

Water is our daily essential needs. Poor me, drink only certain brands of bottled water for its taste. It's kinda annoying furthermore it's expensive too. And bcoz of this, I didn't drink much water when I was outside.Water from water dispenser in the office isn't great too bcoz I don't like the taste of it that much. When its hot, I don't mind but still doesn't like it. I always wanted to find a solution for myself that tastes good and is better for the environment so everyone wins!

I heard about Bobble Bottle that designed by Karim Rashid for long long time ago (when I was in college?!). Initially, I was attracted by its design but now more on its functionality. It is a reusable water bottle that has an activated charcoal filter in the spout. This solves my problem of providing the idea of clean and better tasting water. Yet to be perfect, but at least I could achieve healthier lifestyle by the amount of water that I'm consuming now.

While at a local store one day, I was planning to get myself a new set of cutlery. Before I leave, something caught my eyes....One whole side of colorful pop-top water bottles! Awww....so lovely. I stepped forward and picked up one of this colorful tucked away top water bottle. OMG~~~~~~ OMG~~~ OMG~~~ It's the Bobble Bottle that had its own built-in filter.

The packaging that the Bobble Bottle comes in claims that each filter is good for 300 bottles of filtered water. Also note, I don't like how we currently use plastics for disposable goods since plastics can last forever. The point of plastic was to create low cost, long life products so throwing them away is hurting the environment since its never going to go away in a life time. The bottle itself is made of clear recycled plastic that has been FDA approved for human consumption. It doesn't have that new scary BPA chemical too. Let's  make the world cleaner & better!

I knew this was too good to be true and I have to admit that it's kinda pricey, but it worth every single cent you pay for it. This bottle will not only quench your thirst, but be a walking testament of possibility and global solutions where ever you go! It could be a conversation starter which will lead to awareness!! Just imagine telling everyone that “Not only these bottles are beautifully designed, they’re also BPA-free, made of recycled plastic, and have a built-in carbon water filter that means you can kick your bottled water habit to the curb and fill up on clean H2O on the go”. Hence, I've got one for myself. *mad happy*

And finally, I could say goodbye to funny taste water!!!

Things to do in Langkawi, Kedah

Back in late July, I went to Langkawi in Kedah, Malaysia. This is a beautiful island...

#1
WHERE IS IT? Dataran Lang, also known as Eagle Square, is one of Langkawi’s well-known attractions, a large sculpture of an eagle.

WHAT CAN YOU DO THERE? The square is a good place to watch ferries ply across the harbour and offering beautiful views of Kuah Bay. Do bare in mind, plan a trip here early in the morning or late in the evening when the sun is at its least intense. Beside the square, there is Garden Lake, which you could take an amazing panoramic lake mirror view.

INFO: The reddish-brown eagle at Dataran Lang was built as an emblem of the island. According to folklore Langkawi’s name came from two Malay words – ‘helang’ (eagle) and ‘kawi' (reddish brown): hence lang-kawi.

#2
WHERE IS IT? English Tea Room at Pantai Cenang. The owner, Annette, was super sweet and friendly. She will suggest the plan for the day, giving the ideas on which were the most exciting places to visit.

WHAT CAN YOU DO THERE? Great place for breakfast. The food was tasty and not expensive at all. Must try their big mug of delicious coffee!

#3
WHERE IS IT? Pantai Cenang a.k.a. Cenang Beach is Langkawi’s main vein – may not be as rowdy as the Las Vegas strip but it is Malaysia’s most developed west-coast beach; its shores are a gorgeous mix of white sand, crystalline turquoise-blue waters and verdant palms.

WHAT CAN YOU DO THERE? There are a few huts along the Pantai Cenang, offering activities such as jet skiing, banana boat, parasailing, kayak and even snorkeling and diving sessions. Also, the entire beach road is lined with shops and stalls on both sides. These shops sell mostly souvenirs in the form of fashion accessories, beads, handicrafts and merchandise but there are also many convenience stores.

INFO: Crammed with mostly budget to mid-range hotels.

#4
WHERE IS IT? The Pulau Payar Marine Park is situated in the northern part of the Straits of Melacca, about 30km++ south of Langkawi Island. It is a very popular tourist destination.

WHAT CAN YOU DO THERE? If you never dived before and not sure whether you like it, but you would like to know more. The "Introductory Dive" is the best solution. A diving master will take you a 1 on 1 trip, holding your hand and regulator, guiding you into the underwater world of fantastic marine life. However, if you do not have the courage to dive yet, you may also enjoy snorkeling there.

INFO: Spectacular reefs, Unusual underwater rock formations, and huge variety of marine life provide great opportunities for divers at all levels.

#5
WHERE IS IT? Sunset Cruise....

WHAT CAN YOU DO THERE? Witness the glorious sunset and enjoy the free-flow drinks and BBQ dinner on board with friends and family. If you are lucky enough, you maybe able to see dolphins. Have fun and cool off in the famous salt water Jacuzzi with a cocktail in hand.

#6
WHERE IS IT? Tapaz Restaurant at Perdana Quay.

WHAT CAN YOU DO THERE? Enjoy the Mediterranean meal platter, Spanish tapas and drinks with beautiful scenery ... Their food is awesomely taste good, too!!!

INFO: Tapaz, founded and run by Austrian chef and owner Alex Mark, offers a selection of tapas and main courses that thoroughly express a fusion of Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine with a touch of Asia.

T2 Tea Shop in Perth, Australia

Recently, I've just been to Perth, Australia for a business trip. And yes, it's my very first time travel to Australia.

Perth is well-known as relaxation place. Therefore, there is not much of nightlife in Perth. You will only manage to do some shopping in convenient store. To be honest, with a tight schedule, you wouldn't able to do any shopping at all. I was lucky enough to have couple hours to do some shopping before leaving to airport. Nevertheless, I have never came across to buy souvenirs but I really wanna buy something that not available in Malaysia. *trying to be unique*

My client's agent, Greg Hoad, introduced me to an authentic tea shop named T2 in Hay Street. The shop is easy to find, just at the corner of the traffic junction. The shop adopted the Traditional Chinese Pharmacy design concept.

I'm not a tea lady that with lotsa tea knowledge. Hence, I was introduced by the promoter and she did a good job. She's very friendly and has made a thorough introduction of the tea.

Their tea set is really cute....I just can't help to buy one.... and they come with a very fancy packaging.

~Miniature Set~

Whether you fancy a snuggle down, chow down, perk up, reflect, forget, detox... T2 is an outlet that infuses together all things tea.You can now become a T2 tea society member and shop for your favourite tea leafs or tea set from their official website. Check it out today:

Japanese Hair Saloon in Malaysia

I always want to have a hairstyle like what I've seen in those Japanese magazine.

And you ought to have a great hairstyle in order to match with your dress/clothes. Otherwise, you will look like this:
This was me, trying to act like a fashionista but failed (T_T). Due to the hairstyle.

But now, the problem is solved and I don't even have to fly to Japan. There is a Japanese hair saloon that ever could satisfied me in Malaysia.

Few days ago, I made an appointment to "number 76" and they recommend me the senior hairstylist, Steve-san.

P/s: it will be good to make appointment in advance. Otherwise, you will have to wait...

As usual, I've carried a picture from a magazine that I wish to cut like. Today, I've decided to cut and dye my hair. Nevertheless, if you are not sure what kind of hairstyle to cut, they will recommend you. Ofcoz, if you have any ideas, they will do it for you as to respect customer decision is Japanese manner.

Btw, their service is good. They have never bug me to buy any products unless you ask. I used to quite fed up with those hairstylist keep selling their product. They are really professional.

And before I leave the hair saloon, they gave me a voucher and a member card. The member card is to accumulate points so that you could redeem them to rebate the price for your next service purchased.

With the end result, how many percent that I own the same hairstyle with the picture?

Meiji Amino Collagen (Premium) - Review

I always have to work late, especially during onsite duty and sitting in the air-conditioned room like more than 8 hours, my skin became very dry. And I didn't realize how terrible that I look like, till my colleagues told me so. Ahh...how could it be?! (sounds like I'm gonna lose my dignity with da face) And I was so worry...

I've been applying lotsa masks and skin care product... Well, it does help. But let's say I'm gonna attend a function in coming weekend?! These wouldn't work me wonder in a couple days and time is ticking...

I always heard people talking about Collagen. So, I went to Shojiki-ya and grabbed myself a tin of Meji  Amino Collagen (Premium). Why the tin? Bcoz it comes with the measuring spoon that allow you to consume an adequate amount to be taken daily. Nevertheless, I was also recommended by the shopkeeper to purchase the tin packaging first, even though it comes with lesser consumption days.

Although the label says it's tasteless . But somehow, it tastes like a fish to me. Kinda fishy! So, what I did, is to mix it with fruit juice or milo to cover up the smell and taste and drink it with an empty stomach before I go to bed. You know?! The best thing about Meiji Amino Collagen is that it can be served with hot water, without spoiling the properties of the collagen structure.

Not sure about others, but for my case... I saw the effect on the next day..my face become more moisture and brighter. And after consuming 1 weeks continuously, you can see there's a change:

BEFORE: Can tell that how terrible was my skin even though I've put on make up, it still couldn't cover up my tiredness on my face.

AFTER: I don't even have to put on make up to snap a picture!

It's not a dramatical change like undergo a plastic skin surgery but a definite improvement is seen on me.

This "MUST HAVE" product is now available in Shojiki-ya (Japanese grocery shop in Malaysia). It costs about RM250 with the tin packaging. You might think it's pricey (hell yeh, it's pricey), but you will find it worthy after trying it!

p/s: This is also a way how a Japanese to maintain their good skin complexion.

I'm a typical OL that wear high heels more than 8 hours everyday. High heels caused my legs aching like gonna break soon...

I was complaining to my buddy, Izumi. Then, she recommended me the Japan No.1 Compression Hoisery, Scholl Sleeping Compression Stocking.

She told me that it helps in slimming your legs and relief of tiredness from wearing high heels. Yep, my reaction was same like yours. "Really or not?! And how?"

I'm that kind of will do lotsa research before purchase an item. So I've been clicking over my keyboard to surf online...

Scholl Sleeping Compression Stocking was designed in the UK as a medical stocking based on compression therapy. Its pressure levels are set in accordance with the UK's pressure standards. Ideal for the relief of tired, aching & swollen legs while achieving toned & slimmer looking legs.

Because I was really wanna get rid of the "after effect" wearing high heels and wanna slim my legs down, so I begged Izumi to get me a pair! It wasn't too expensive, about RM 100.

Bangkok Business Trip

After a year of preparation, finally it's Bangkok Time!!!! Packed with excitement and thinking of where to do shopping. Oh Oh, in fact, this's another business trip, ain't any personal shopping trip.

Landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport @ Bangkok

Upon arrival, we were chauffeured by Centara Grand limo. And the best part is that they actually installed wi-fi in the car, so in the meantime congested in the well-known heavy traffic city and we can surf the net.

They served very tasty punch juice as welcome drink.

Once we've done with the check-in thingy....it's time to chuck our luggage into the new temporary 2 weeks "home-sweet-home".

The room was too romantic for me to fell asleep... They placed 2 pcs of dark choc every night next to your bed.

How to focus on your work when the environment look like this.... ??!

This is what I like the most about my room. The 2 in 1 standing shower bathtub.

See what I see from my room?! Nope, you don't! I'm looking at the target venue for shopping! *Buahahha*

Do not expect me to read the Thai! Nevertheless, this is a nice restaurant. The price isn't expensive at all. It's reasonable & affordable.

Lemongrass drink
my favourite Thai salad - Tum Tua
(long beans, tomatoes, chilli padi, fish paste, etc.)

not least, the ever famous Thai soup
"Tom Yam Gong"

When I came back from my dinner, I saw there's a little card and a piece of cake on my desk.
Kind of warmth....didn't meant to celebrate in BKK. Yet, appreciate that courtesy.

Well, this so called business trip could be a eating marathon trip for me too. I just can't resist with good food.

And this is also my last working trip with colleague, Rachel, who had shared happiness & sweat with me in this company. Gonna miss who shared the food & ice-cream with me, wake me up in the middle of my dream...
Singha Beer for me

Never forget to being camwhore!!

Bangkok Convention Centre (BCC)

Now...one thing that I will never forget to do when I travel overseas...is to try the McDonalds!!!!

The pork burger was nice and they have lotsa of Thai sauce...for you to dip with the nuggets.

Most but not least, their Thai beef rice was ICHIBAN!!!! A must try!!

Everyday food food food...
Lunch with fellow of colleagues/friends/contractors @ KUU

Lunch with the managers @ Nara

At night, I can even eat up to 3 ppl portion of food...
my ever first room service (supper)
Surprisingly, their room service food was delicious.

#Friendship @ BKK, Thai
